Day 1: Depart UK for Colombo

Day 2: Mount Lavina

Arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport where you will be met by your Chauffeur Guide.proceed to your hotel in Mount Lavinia dinner at the hotel.Overnight Stay at Mount Lavinia Hotel, Mount Lavinia – Colonial Room on Half Board Basis

Day 3: Mount Lavina to Nuwara Eliya

This morning after breakfast you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya.En-route you will make a stop at Kitulgala where the “Bridge of the River Kwai” was filmed.Continue your journey to Nuwara Eliya with a stop at St. Clair’s and Devon waterfalls.arrive in Nuwara Eliya to enjoy the simplicity and beauty of life in the hill country away from the sophistication of city life.Nuwara Eliya – Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate, Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, producing some of the world’s best tea.In the afternoon you will enjoy a city tour of Nuwara Eliya.Overnight Stay at Jetwing St. Andrews, Nuwara Eliya– Superior Room on Half Board Basis

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya

Leave very early in the morning with a packed picnic breakfast to the Horton Plain This National Park, on Sri Lanka's highest plateau over 2100m above sea level in the central mountains is a strange and tranquil region with an astounding variety of scenery – from misty mountains to grasslands, from marshes to ice cold streams, lakes and waterfalls. Sri Lanka's best flavoured “high grown” teas are from estates in the surrounding areas. Two highlights are the spectacular view from 'Worlds End'. Return to Nuwara Eliya and spend your afternoon at leisure which will also include and afternoon tea in the beautiful lawns of St. Andrews.Overnight Stay at Jetwing St. Andrews, Nuwara Eliya– Superior Room on Half Board Basis

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya to Yala

After breakfast leave for Yala.In the afternoon enjoy a game drive at the Yala National Park. Situated 309 km. south of Colombo, Yala is approximately 1,259 sq. km. in extent and is located in the south eastern corner of the island. Its northern boundaries border on the Lahugala ElephantSanctuary and it has the added bonus of a scenic ocean frontage. Overnight Stay at Jetwing Yala, Yala– Superior Room on Half Board Basis

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya to Yala

This morning you will leave to the Bundala National Park.Bundala National Park- Located about fifteen kilometres east of Hambantota, Bundala National Park is one of Sri Lanka's foremost destinations for birdwatchers, protecting an important area of coastal wetland famous for its abundant aquatic birdlife. A total of 197 bird species have been recorded here, made up of 139 resident species & 58 seasonal visitors, the latter arriving during the northern winter.Return to Yala and enjoy yet another game drive at the Yala National Park.Overnight Stay at Jetwing Yala, Yala– Superior Room on Half Board Basis

Day 7: Yala

This morning you will proceed to Udawalawe.A visit will be made to the Born Free Foundation, which rehabilitates elephants back into the wild. The Elephant Transit Home is run by the Department of Wildlife Conservation and rescues orphan elephants and returns them to the wild when they are ready, providing a humane alternative to taking abandoned animals into permanent captivity.Thereafter check in at the hotel.Overnight Stay at Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort, Udawalawe –Deluxe Room on Half Board Basis

Day 8: Yala to Udawalawe

This morning after breakfast you will proceed to Sinharaja.Check in at hotel.In the afternoon walk through the Sinharaja Rainforest, Sri Lanka’s last remaining rainforest and home to most of the island’s endemic birdlife.Overnight Stay at Rainforest Eco Lodge, Sinharaja (Deniyaya) – Standard Room on Half Board Basis

Day 9: Udawalawe to Sinharaja

This morning you will once again walk through the Sinharaja Rainforest,Return to the hotel and spend your afternoon at leisure or you have the option of enjoying yet another walk through the forest.Overnight Stay at Rainforest Eco Lodge, Sinharaja (Deniyaya) – Standard Room on Half Board Basis

Day 10: Sinharaja

After breakfast leave to Galle where you will enjoy a city tour.Galle- said to be the famous Tarshish of the Bible is the port where the Portuguese first landed in Sri Lanka. The famous fort in Galle was originally built by the Portuguese in 1589 and named Santa Cruz. After the Dutch occupation it was destroyed and rebuilt on a larger scale to cover an area of 36 hectares. Fortified by the Dutch who ruled maritime Sri Lanka in the 17th & 18th centuries the city still retains the air of old Holland. Thereafter you will proceed to the airport to board your departure flight or you have the option of extending your holiday with a beach stay.
