Highlights are plentiful on the west side of peninsular Malaysia. From Singapore, this journey snakes its way up the coast via heritage-rich Malacca and buzzing Kuala Lumpur. After a short detour inland to the verdant Cameron Highlands, the journey end in Penang, famed for its culture and its amazing culinary scene.

Day 1: Depart the UK from Singapore

Depart the UK for your flight to Singapore, arriving the following day.

Day 2: Singapore

Meet and Greet at Changi International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Check In.

Afternoon City tour, explore this modern Asiatic capital, pass by the Colonial Centre, with its cricket field, the Parliament, High Court and the City Hall. Walk by the Esplanade, until the Singapore symbol, the Merlion statue. Proceed to the Chinese district, and stop by the Buddhist temple Thian Hock Keng. Visit to a local handicraft market, and the Orchid Garden, placed in the renowned Singapore Botanic Garden.

Day 3: Singapore to Malacca

Depart by luxury coach for the historical city of Malacca, 200 km away, along the Malaysian West Coast. After immigration clearance, arrive at Johor Bahru. Proceed to Malacca. Rich in culture and colonial heritage, with its temples, markets and mosques, the colonial buildings, the city attained in 2008 the status of UNESCO World Heritage site.
Take a stroll on Jonker Street - famous for its amazing variety of antique stores, stop by the Red Square, the Stadhuys, St Paul hill and its old church, and Porta De Santiago, the last standing ruin of the old Portuguese stronghold called “A Famosa”, destroyed by the British.End the tour with a beautiful river cruise up the Melaka River. Back to the hotel.

Day 4: Malacca to Kuala Lumpur

The day will start by a visit to harmony street, the oldest Chinese templeCheng Hoon Teng, walking through to the Kampung Kling Mosque and the “Baba Nyonya” (Strait Chinese also known as “Peranakan”) museum.
Departure for the Malaysian capital city, Kuala Lumpur. After 2 hours driving, arrive in Kuala Lumpur and check in at the hotel.
In the afternoon, start of the city tour. Better known as KL to the locals, Kuala Lumpur is by far the largest city in Malaysia. This tour gives you a colorful spectrum of Malaysian architecture, history culture, heritage, crafts and lifestyle. Visit the National Monument & Cenotaph. Stop by the Gate of the King’s Palace with Merdeka Square & Royal Selangor Club in the background. Pass by and view the Petronas twin towers, Moorish style Railway building and National Mosque. After tour transfer back to your hotel.
Evening time depart for dinner at one of the local restaurants. Enjoy an evening of graceful and colourful cultural dances from Malaysia. Savour a wide variety of delicious Malay cuisine including Satay – our national delicacy.

Day 5: Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands

Depart for Cameron Highlands (5 hrs). Stop on the way at Batu Caves, the largest and most important Hindu temple in Malaysia. Stop in Tapah before starting the winding uphill road to Cameron Highlands. Stop to see the Iskandar waterfall for a photo stop, where a small Orang Asli village, the original tribal population of Peninsula Malaysia, might be seen. Reach Cameron Highlands in the afternoon. Check in to the hotel.

Day 6: Cameron Highlands to Penang

Breakfast at the hotel. #

Continue the tour of Cameron Highlands. Visit the tea plantations and the tea-processing factory. After the visits, leave to Bukit Merah. Stop at a Buddhist temple. Proceed to Bukit Merah and take the boat to cross the lake to reach the Island where there is a centre of research and reproduction for Orang Utans. After the visit, proceed to Penang island through one of the longest bridges in Asia (13.5 Km). Visit the Snake Temple and check-in at the hotel.

Day 7: Penang

Departure for the visit of Georgetown city and its main attractions. Stop at the Thai Temple of the Reclining Buddha and at the Burmese Temple. Continue to visit the Khoo Kongsi, beautiful Chinese Clan House and visit the Baba & Nyonya Mansion, picturesque museum is located near Little India near the beautiful St. George's Anglican Church. The city tour will allow us also visit the Kek Lok Si Temple, the biggest Buddhist temple throughout Malaysia. (B)
